You guys - spring is so close, I can almost taste it. Admittedly, January-May are my least favorite months of the year, but there is something undeniably hopeful about spring. I have a vivid memory of being a sophomore in high school. It was spring in the suburbs of Illinois, and Mike and I weren't dating, but we were texting non-stop. To prepare . . .

One of my new year's resolutions was to be way more intentional - and that goal extended to skincare. I am notoriously horrible at taking care of my skin. It's part laziness and part luckiness. My grandma and mom have amazing skin, and for better or worse, I take it for granted. But, I know I need to be more intentional to keep those genes . . .
It warmed up in SoCal for a solid three days, and today was chilly again. I shouldn't complain. If I were back home in Chicago, it would likely be in the 30's and 40's, so, it's all about perspective, right? It is so easy to lose perspective. We get so wrapped up in ourselves and all of the microscopic details of our life that we forget to . . .
We have all been there. The co-worker. The neighbor. The distant cousin who will be in town for her birthday. People for whom you have to buy a gift but don't TRULY know their interests - and let's be honest: how many bath and body sets does any single person REALLY need?! I know the feeling. Gift-giving can be super tedious when you and the . . .
My grandma loved a good deal. She prided herself on staying insanely up to speed on the local circulars and knowing exactly WHICH store had Crest on sale and which stores to buy canned goods and which stores to make sure you avoid for produce. She was as thrifty and shrewd as they came, and nothing made her giddier than an unexpected . . .
Where are my soup lovers?! On an average day, soup doesn't do it for me (unless it's this Tuscan White Bean Soup I shared a few weeks back!). I much prefer to chew my food, if I'm being honest. I find it way more satisfying. There's something about the winter months, though, where I forget that. All I want is an oversized mug of soup, a blanket, . . .
The Nordstrom Winter Sale is HERE! Sometimes, during especially long and tiring workdays, I'll rest my eyes for a moment, and when I open them, I find myself on Nordstrom's website! I don't know how it happens! I swear - one minute, I'm writing emails, and then next, I'm shopping for sweaters. It's like a shopping blackout :) Wonder if it's . . .
So excited to share my spring home refresh with you guys!! But phew - this has been a crazy couple of weeks, hence my unreliable posting. We've been hosting family from out of town. It's so crazy to be at a point in my life where I have the capabilities to host - a guest bedroom, a dining table that doesn't force you to knock knees, evening . . .
We live in a divided time. But - I present the thing that unites us all: Target. More specifically, Target's home department. You guys no lie, I find my peace and calm in Target's home decor section, and Christmas came early because they're having a big President's Day home sale!! I took on the burden of shopping the sale for you. It was a . . .
Did you know that there's a new tax code at play? There are MANY changes that have resulted in the passing of the Tax Cut and Jobs Act (TCJA) that President Trump signed into law on December 22, 2017. The TCJA is the most significant update to the internal revenue tax code since 1986, with over 115 new provisions - so, let's get some of them . . .
