In case you guys missed one of my thousands of #ProudDogMom IG posts, Mike and I adopted our pup, Millie, in October!
We went back and forth for the longest time, knowing we wanted a dog while being slightly apprehensive about our ability to properly care for one. We didn’t take the commitment lightly – especially with so many pet parents telling us about the work required.
I can honestly say that adopting Millie was one of the best decisions we made all year. Hands down, and both of us agree. She is full of surprises and constantly makes us laugh. It’s so evident that all she wants is to be near us. If I leave her in the family room to fold laundry (right around the corner, mind you), she’ll follow me and lay at my feet until all of our socks are matched.
We try our best to reciprocate the love and loyalty she showers us with. It’s funny how happy I am when she’s happy. That’s why I was so bummed when Millie lost interest in her kibble – the food she’d once been only too excited to eat.
She became super apathetic about meal time, and it was clear that she was grazing only when her hunger absolutely necessitated eating. Wanting to reinfuse mealtime with joy, I reached out to Pet Plate and am so excited to be partnering with them today.

Ever since we introduced Pet Plate into Millie’s diet, mealtime is again her favorite time of the day. It’s so fun seeing her excited to eat, and I’ve got so much peace of mind knowing I’m feeding her such high-quality ingredients. Millie has gotten me through extremely stressful times. She’s so much more than a pet. She’s family, so I want to do everything I can to give her the fullest, happiest life possible.
