Fur the Love of Glamour December 27, 2017
How was everyone’s holiday?! Ours was low-key, but so nice. We have spent the majority of our break with our parents. Mike and I are super lucky because our parents get along so well. We spent Christmas Eve at my parents’ house and Christmas Day at his.
I don’t know why, but the day after Christmas, I always feel the need to get life back in order. I get so derailed with the holiday hoopla – buying and wrapping gifts, traveling, preparing food (or in this case, buying EVERYTHING FROM COSTCO!) – that I totally let go of my normal routine. Anyone else feel that? As soon as December 26th rolls along, I go back to work mode. I want everything in its place and ready for the new year.
I’m honestly not much for resolutions – I’ve always believed that goals should constantly be made, worked towards, and adjusted – I’ve never waited for the top of a new year to start living the life I think I should live. But for some reason, this year is a bit different.
Maybe it’s because I’m getting married – that’s a huge fat leaf I’m about to turn over, and I feel like there are certain adjustments that should be made in correlation with it. But this year, I do have a few goals I’ve been jotting down. I’ll share them later this week.
Speaking of New Year – what are everyone’s plans? Mike and I are relatively lame – I have a feeling my lameness is just contagious – he’s actually quite a social butterfly.
But alas, he chose me, and my social skills mirror those of a monks’, so we will likely stay in. But, I do love NYE fashion. I mean come on – it’s one of the only times of the year you can be gaudy as all get-out, and still look classy and festive!
My jacket would make the perfect NYE cover-up, and want to know the best part? It’s $37!!
